Every Friday, Twitters streams all over the world contain messages from Tweeters suggesting worthwhile people to follow. This is typically accompanied by the hashtag #followfriday.
Well, this week I met the father of Follow Friday (and fellow pet lover) Micah Baldwin. We were both at the same conference in the Napa Valley. Micah says he had no expectation that Follow Friday would become a meme. He can explain how it happened better than I can so you can read about it in his post here.
Basically, Micah simply started it on 16 January 2009 when he recommended a couple of his mates on Twitter to his followers. He never expected it to still be trending a few days later. Now, more than two and a half years later, it’s still going!
