Podcast: Jessica Rudd

Jessica Rudd podcastJessica Rudd has had a busy life. She trained as a lawyer, and practised in that profession, before moving into PR and then politics. But her great love was always writing and at the age of 26, she told everyone she knew she was going to be a writer. While it took some time to get into the rhythm of life as a writer, she has now well and truly hit her stride.

Her second novel, Ruby Blues, released in late 2011, is clear evidence of this. Following on from her successful debut novel, Campaign Ruby, it continues the story of her titular character Ruby who is struggling with what to do now she has achieved her goals and life isn’t what she expected.

I talked with Jessica about her early days as a writer, lessons she has learned, and about the new novel which has been released to much acclaim.

I hope you enjoy what she to say.
