My life in a minute: 27 April 2012

As regular readers of this blog will know, I’ve been busy writing a book. And I’m thrilled to say that it’s finished. That’s right. The manuscript is done and it’s been sent off to the publisher. So now I’m turning my attention to the cover – to ensure it has all the elements that are going to make people want to buy it! I’ve been thrilled with the cover options designed by the publisher so far. So I can’t wait to reveal them to you.

Now the book (which is about storytelling for entrepreneurs) is safely off to the publishers, here’s my life in a minute.

Loving: This card from Typo (a grungier version of Kikki-k). I think there are a few people I could send it to!

Eating: Cupcakes. In my opinion, the best cupcakes in Sydney are from My Little Cupcake in Neutral Bay. These were devoured in our office to celebrate sending the manuscript off to the publisher.

Reading: So many amazing blogs entered in our Best Australian Blogs Competition for 2012. As an Ambassador of the competition, it’s been wonderful to see the quality of writing in the blogosphere. These days, blogs can build a sense of community that some traditional mediums find hard to replicate. And I love all the unique voices that I’ve been discovering in the entrants to the competition. The finalists have been announced here.

Interviewing: Next week, I’m interviewing Michelle Bridges for Latte magazine. I’ve interviewed Michelle before. And I’ve always admired how she’s turned her fitness training career into a mini-empire. Somehow, the dynamo manages to find time to film a national television show, write several books, run and online fitness training business and much more.

Adoring: This photo of my cat Rex who kept me sane during the book writing process. Oh, who am i trying to kid. It’s just a gratuitous shot.

Watching: This video on what English sounds like to those who don’t speak it. It’s hilarious.
