Next week, I’ll be in Melbourne to speak at an event run by Women as Entrepreneurs and the ANZ Small Business Hub. I recently met Orsi Parkanyi, founder of Women as Entrepreneurs and I was impressed with her passion for the network.
I’m also a blog ambassador for the ANZ Small Business Hub and recently went to the Sydney event. So I’m looking forward to meeting everyone in Melbourne too.
As an entrepreneur, I’ve noticed that it’s quite easy to become isolated from those around you – customers aside of course! – as you pour all your money and time into making your business a success. Focusing all your attention on your venture is naturally understandable since it is important that it succeed.
But it’s also good to take some time out to network. It will get you away from your desk and into the company of like-minded women. I believe that networking is an essential part of running your business.
So come and join me on Tuesday 4 September at this event where you will be able to meet Orsi Parkanyi, director and founder of Women as Entrepreneurs, digital media strategist Fi Bendall, blog ambassadors from the ANZ Small Business Hub (including me, of course) and of course some wonderful fellow entrepreneurs.
I look forward to seeing you there.
In the meantime, here’s an interview Orsi conducted with me a little while back that you might find interesting.
