My life in a minute: 19 October 2012

DWEN Melbourne. Yours truly, Kylie Taylor (Managing Director of Baldwin Boyle), Emma Isaacs (CEO of Business Chicks)

Honoured: to speak at the Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network in Melbourne and Sydney.

It was a privilege to launch Power Stories to the amazing women in the Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network (DWEN) in both Melbourne and Sydney. If you want to find out more about the network, check out the LinkedIn group here. In the meantime, here are a few snaps of the events …

It was great to launch Power Stories to a room full of Power Women in Melbourne

DWEN Sydney. Great to see so many female entrepreneurs in Sydney.

With my DWEN Rio de Janeiro buddies L-R: Suzi Dafnis (Australian Businesswomen's Network), Nicole Gemmell (Dell Australia) and yours truly

Gorgeous venue for Sydney

The Fetch's Kate Kendall won a Dell XPS 13 at the Sydney event!

Loving: The blogging love-fest that was Problogger Training Event
It started in Row 19 on a Qantas flight from Sydney to Melbourne. Fellow bloggers (and Sydney Writers’ Centre presenters) Kerri Sackville and Allison Tait and I spoke on a panel at the event about “Get Paid to Write: How to use your blog to build your brand”.

I also moderated a panel on “Taking a new blog to success”. One of my businesses SocialCallout.com was a sponsor of the event, so it was great to connect with so many amazing bloggers.

So happy to see: Dougal and Groucho
Some of you may not know that in addition to my white fluff balls (otherwise known as Rex, Rocky and Rambo), two of my furry babies live in the Yarra Valley so it was a great opportunity to get cuddles from them.

Adorable Dougal

Gorgeous Groucho

Life in the country: In case you want to walk to a picnic area next to water with some ducks …

Busy: Writing guest posts
This week, I’ve written three guest posts on Problogger.net. I hope you find them useful:
* Build your Brand to Write for Magazines

* Build Your Brand to Get a Book Deal

* Build Your Brand to Get Paid Speaking Gigs

Trying out: Calm.com
When my inbox overfloweth, but I can’t quite tear myself away from my computer, I give Calm.com a go.
