Reading: Emma Isaac’s blog post on her experience when she attended my seminar “How to write a business book” this week. Many of you may know that Emma is the dynamo behind Business Chicks, Australia’s largest network of corporate and business women.
Emma was one of a group of awesome people at the seminar this week. As one attendee commented: “What an amazing group of high achievers.” My sentiments exactly.
I loved teaching this course and one the reasons is because I knew it would attract the best of the best. The cream of the crop – people who are experts in their field and who want to distil their expertise in a book. It’s inspiring to be in a room full of such fascinating people.
We’ve been inundated with queries about when I’m holding the seminar again. So here are the dates:
In Melbourne, the next seminar date is Friday 7 October 2011.
In Sydney, the next seminar date is Tuesday 24 January 2012.
Watching: My credit card balance go up as I succumb to an online shopping addiction.
Buying: Well, possibly too many things. But in particular, enough groceries to get me through this current busy period. It’s almost like hibernating for winter.
Making: Sweet potato recipe taught to me by Startup blogger Steve Sammartino (who is also an amazing cook in his spare time).
Planning: To never have a computer desktop that looks like this ever again. Scary. No wonder I have to streamline my life.
Loving: That the weather is getting a little bit warmer in Sydney. Here’s Rambo enjoying the sunshine outside the Sydney Writers’ Centre.
Being: I’ll be honest. Just a teeny bit stressed out at the sheer scale of the major project I’m working on at the moment.
(And again, thanks to @shaggygirl for the idea behind this post.)
