Recently I had the pleasure of interviewing Tara Moss about her new novel, The Spider Goddess, from her best-selling supernatural series, Pandora English. The second book in the series after The Blood Countess, it continues Pandora’s story as she balances work in the New York fashion industry with an unorthodox life where talking to the dead is an everyday occurrence.
Tara, who was a fashion model before turning to writing, is also responsible for the very successful Mak Vanderwell series of five crime novels such as Fetish and Split. She likes to keep busy writing articles on current affairs and women’s issues, and blogging at The Book Post. And as an avid reader herself, she interviews authors on her cable show, 13th Street Universal.
With all that on her plate, I was interested in how she manages to move seamlessly between these different activities, her love of in-depth research and all things gothic, and whether she has any tips for aspiring authors.
It’s a fascinating interview and I hope you enjoy the podcast.
