It’s okay. Don’t worry, I haven’t changed the direction of my business to go into murder and mayhem. I’m just thrilled to announce our pop-up podcast series called… you guessed it… Murder and Mayhem.
What’s a pop-up podcast series?
I call it a pop-up podcast series because, like a pop-up store, it’s only running consistently for a certain length of time. Many of you will know that my other podcasts, So you want to be a writer and So you want to be a photographer release an episode every week – and have done so since forever.
Well, Murder and Mayhem is a little bit different. It’s going to run for 31 consecutive days in conjunction with Crime and Thriller Month at the Australian Writers’ Centre. And it’s an opportunity for readers of that genre to celebrate the wonderful world of crime and thriller writing. Every day, for 31 days, I feature an interview with one of the world’s best crime/thriller authors so that listeners can get an insight into what really goes on in the minds of the people who cook up these dastardly tales.
It’s very niche – but I hope it ends up being a great place of curated content for those who are interested in the topic.
And there’s the accompanying ebook
To complement the podcast series, we’re also releasing A Month of Murder and Mayhem – a free ebook where we feature the key takeaways from each episode, so that listeners can get an analog version of the best tips if they prefer to consume it that way.
I hope you enjoy the series!
