Hi, I'm Valerie Khoo, an artist based in the beautiful northern beaches of Sydney, Australia.

The start of a creative journey

A few years ago, I picked up a paintbrush and fell in love with the creative process. Time just disappears when I'm in my studio – and I love it. And the feedback I hear from collectors is that the paintings bring joy and inspiration to their walls – and life!

One of the highlights of my artistic career so far was being commissioned to design a five-metre sculpture for the City of Sydney, which was displayed on the iconic harbour next to the Sydney Opera House.

My muse and intentions

I love creating vibrant, striking artworks, mainly in oils. Flowers are my muse – big, bold, and beautiful blooms that capture the essence of creativity and beauty.

I believe that art reflects the artist's emotions, which is why you'll never catch me painting when I'm down. Positivity and optimism are always infused of my work.
